A Chapter by Chapter Review of Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis

The subtitle of Girl, Stop Apologizing is “A Shame-Free Plan For Embracing and Achieving Your Goals,” so I approached the book as encouragement for entrepreneurs. It is for women who want to start businesses and make money. The fifth skill Hollis suggests is “positivity.”

You can’t go wrong with being positive, that’s why I only have a Good section!

The Good

“I choose to practice gratitude.” (199)

“I regulate my thoughts because thoughts control feelings.” (199)

Why break down a book piece by piece? Because this is not the message I want my generation of women to apply to their lives. Hollis gives some competent counsel but ultimately pushes toxic advice. If you want a good book for Christian female entrepreneurs, I would recommend Business Boutique by Christy Wright. Check out my page for further chapter breakdowns!
