A Chapter by Chapter Review of Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis

I don’t usually read self-help books, but I have been searching for good recommendations for my blog. When I was struggling with my eating disorder, a book I read was so influential to the healing journey that I wanted others to have the same experience. I bought a few books, and my peers highly recommended this Rachel Hollis.

I don’t read self-help books because I don’t need someone else to tell me positive affirmations, I need me to do that.

Long story short, Girl, Stop Apologizing didn’t make the cut. I disagreed with it so much that I wanted to break down the ideas in this book. I don’t have anything against Rachel Hollis, but I do have something against her version of Christianity, her perception of women’s expectations, and her idea of hustling.

Hollis makes many flashy statements about the United State’s perception of women, women’s understanding of the world, and women’s knowledge of themselves. The problem is many of these statements is they are feelings —…
