A Chapter by Chapter Review of Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis

The subtitle of Girl, Stop Apologizing is “A Shame-Free Plan For Embracing and Achieving Your Goals,” so I approached the book as encouragement for entrepreneurs. It is for women who want to start businesses and make money. The third excuse Hollis tackles is the one used by women who haven’t become entrepreneurs because “they don’t have time.”

This pretense is a legitimate excuse for many women. Time is a significant factor in everything. Her four points on how to make time are similar to what I do to accomplish my goals. I didn’t highlight or markup anything in those sections. I did highlight or markup a little bit of the rest of the chapter.

The Good

“You aren’t going to find the time to pursue your goals; you’re going to make the time to pursue your goals.” (20)

“How are you using the time you have?” (21)

“You willing to give up a little of today’s rest for tomorrow’s possibilities?” (23)

“I was living my entire life waiting for a moment to be special enough for me to look, feel, and act my best, and the truth is, you don’t need a special moment, or any reason at all, to do that. If not now, then when?” (27)
